§ 1 All content appearing on DW.COM is intended exclusively for personal use. Any additional use or application of DW.COM content, especially for commercial purposes, is strictly prohibited without the explicit permission of Deutsche Welle. This applies to all manner of reproduction, presentation, publication, distribution, translation and storage on microfiche as well as the saving of content with the intent to process it in electronic data systems.
§ 2 Any breach of these laws will be brought to the attention of the authorities and/or pursued through civil law. DW is not responsible for the content of external pages, which can be reached by a link from a DW.COM page.
§ 3 Deutsche Welle is not responsible for any damage, incorrect content, losses or file deletion, whether it be caused by errors, delays or interruptions in the transmission, technical equipment failure, viruses or in any other manner, sustained by suscribers to newsletters, unless such damage is caused by Deutsche Welle staff or contractors deliberately or through gross negligence.
§ 4 All information provided to Deutsche Welle will be treated in the strictest confidence. We will not use any personal details for purposes not authorized by subscribers. We are obliged to release information if we receive a court order to do so.
§ 5 Deutsche Welle reserves the right to suspend and/or cease the distribution of any newsletter at any time without notice. This applies in particular to cases where, for technical reasons or legal reasons, proper execution cannot be ensured.
§ 6 You can unsubscribe from every newsletter at any time.
§ 7 Deutsche Welle reserves the right to change the general Conditions of Use at any time.
